Unfortunately it’s impossible to keep up with all the cool stuff being created around the world. Nowadays everybody’s an artist and the amount of videos, art and music are countless, which I believe is a very (very, very) good thing. The digital revolution made it possible for almost everybody to create things (anything) at home, low-budget and share it with the world for free. I always have found this a fascinating development, but what is getting more interesting to me, is how the internet can be used as a next-level-platform.
In some cases, having the required hard-/software isn’t enough to realize splendid ideas. For most of the semi-professionals there’s this well-known problem, called: M-o-n-e-y.

Kickstarter.com is the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world. Every week, tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields.
In my believe it’s more than just a funding platform. The question “What’s going on in the world of creativity?” can be partly answered by this website. Instead of looking and finding end-results, we now have the opportunity to read about ideas/concepts and follow these projects from the very beginning.
Put a little effort in it and you can find yourself the coolest projects ever. For example this one: “Build a statue of RoboCop in Detroit.“
