Extremely Rare Color Photography of Early 1900s Paris

Wow! I´m amazed… One of the coolest things I´ve seen this month.

All the images shown below were taken using Autochrome Lumière technology. It’s an early color photography process, patented in 1903 and invented by the famous French Auguste and Louis Lumière, populary known as Lumière Brothers. They were the earliest filmmakers in history.

Please read and see more photos here and here.

Niggas in Paris Graffiti

A crew of masked graf heads show Jay-Z and Kanye West what’s really hood in Paris, with their take on the popular “Watch the Throne” song.
With the ‘Hello Brooklyn‘-musicvideo in mind, I couldn’t stop laughing after seeing this video. Although it’s a great video, I dislike the fact they’re ruining the beautiful Parisian subway-stations… (So, maybe I’m not as urban/gangster/careless as some of you may think hahaha)

Mr. A & Mr. O – Unconventional Friends

From graffiti to fame: André Saraiva or his alter ego Mr. A doesn’t really need an introduction. The man who started tagging Paris at a very young age managed the transition to become an established artist, club owner and now art director of L’Officiel homme. This success is probably due to André’s warm personality and an open and positive attitude to live.
